Details For Changing Oil With
Display Stand In Place

NOTE: With Cobra Bars and perhaps the MC Bars- if you have the chrome cover on the
oil filter then you will not be able to remove the chrome cover with
the Display Stand in place.

Not all oil filters will slip out over the display stand cross bar. If the filter will not
pass over the crossbar then the filter can slip out through the space under the foot
shift lever.

 

Do 1 of 2 things:
1. Remove Chrome cover and leave it off before installing Stand.

The regular filter must be removed through the space under the foot shift lever.
Put a rag over the frame and floorboard mount to catch any dripped oil.
I use a strap wrench to remove my filter.

or

2. If you choose to leave the chrome cover on then remove it when changing filters
you will need to loosen and lower one side of the stand, (right side is easiest)
remove cover and filter, install new filter, and
replace stand.

The Chrome cover is too large to allow it to come
off of the filter with the Display Stand in place.
